Great video! Thanks for posting the link. But I’m not sure what, other than its being a drag, you wouldn’t expect to see in other places?
one of my favorite videos ever…
Yes, that is cool footage- someone posted in on FOL some time back. But- it is in Germany I think, not Russia?
sorry, Germany
sorry, I left he ‘P’ off of Prussia,East prussia where the , stud was/is (9?) located
A H, ,young horses straight off the breeding farm ridden outXC:eek: in a group like this; ridden out like this or the type of fences , either :winkgrin:, not unlike old Fort Riley I i imagine!
That was great! Does anyone know the year?
What does FOL stand for?
exactly…because the Americans went to Ost Pruss and modeled our Cav. after them…these were hardy field and peer raised colts who were bred for at least 100 yos before this to do exactly what they are shown doing…being made ready for battle and one of the training plans was of course foxhunting…

Why so it is! I just took a look at that site and found the software too backward for me to want to participate there, tho.
Very neat video. At at 3 minute 45 second point there is a horse landing after the ditch that made me go “ugh”. Hard, but secure landing.
Did anyone else notice not one martingale on a horse? Pretty neat. One of my daughters speaks German. I’ll see if she’ll translate the opening part and share it here if she does.

You can’t judge a book by its cover.
Germany? Probably not…
Probably is Poland now. My family is from Prussia, Breslau to be exact but it is Wroclaw, Poland now.
if you ask the old Germans (my mama’s people to be exact) Ost Pruss or East Prussia is an extended German cousin…property lines in Europe shift every couple years pedigree and bloodlines generally don’t
