I will be moving to Miami in the fall and am looking for a dressage barn. I’ve searched the forum and it looks like the latest posts about this are from 2015. Just wondering if something new has come up in the meantime.

Do you have your own horse or are you looking fot something with school horses?
Becky Lamas is a USDF associate instructor in the Miami area. I don’t live in that area, so I’m not aware of others in the Miami area. There are a few places north of Miami.
I agree with Ellen–are you looking for an instructor that has schooling horses? Are you looking for boarding?

I live in Miami and I ride jumpers but my flat work is all about proper dressage. I scribe at the local schooling shows so I know the dressage community here. There is not a lot of “serious” dressage here until you travel up to Wellington, so I guess it depends on how serious you are and how far you are willing to travel. Are you living on the north or south end of the city (we have considerable sprawl)? Not much in the south horse community that I know of, but maybe i’m Just unaware. Go north to Broward County (35 minute drive) and you will have some options. I’d start with Kerstin Baier. Or call Holly Zickler of the local dressage association who might help with other suggestions. Welcome to South Florida!

Thank you! We are planning to live in Coral Gables or Coconut Grove. I’ve heard Kerstin Baier’s Name a few times and she doesn’t seem to horribly far away (although I’ve also heard that Miami traffic can be horrific).
