Dressage Bridles without flash?

Hi,

Are there any nice snaffle bridles out there without those ugly flash attachments? My horse can keep his own mouth closed, is this a bizarre request?

Yes. I bought one very similar to this:

I got it in brown as my dressage saddle is brown.

Schneiders tack makes a nice one with a fold away flash. Mine has never seen the light of day

There are plenty. I bought a bunch of great nosebands on sale at Horseloverz with no flash. I love my beautiful, wide padded ones.

All the PS of Sweden ones have an attachment that comes off with the flash, so the noseband has nothing ugly sticking out of it

HDR makes a couple good-looking and very economical snaffle bridles w/out flash.

Lots of ideas in this thread: http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?488599-Bridles-amp-nosebands

I have a nice Kieffer from Dressage Extensions that has a removable one.

Have to rave about the Schneider’s bridles - I got the Joseph Sterling petite for my TB as a gift, and it’s lovely leather. My friend’s dressage trainer was raving about the Pinnacle line as well - she brought it for me to feel, and very impressed - way better than the Smartpak Plymouth I had to return when it cracked immediately (even though I adore Smartpak). The Schneider’s have the tuck-away so you can tell if you look down on it that there’s something there, but it looks awesome at a normal angle. Very impressed with it.

Buy a Show Hunter bridle.

If you get a double bridle (NOT a monocrown) then you can take the bridoon hanger off and BOOM- snaffle bridle. That’s what my gelding has (I hate the look of the unused flash keeper).

Dover FINALLY has one after years (and I do mean literal years) of people suggesting it from within:

Now, the price tag is a little steep but I absolutely love my Warendorf tack… They have aged so well and endure abuse – I would put their quality above Smartpak’s line and on par with Courbette. I’ve seen this one in person and the browband and model does it no justice.

I think the browband is ugly, but you could swap it out.
