Our little barn is having its first Dressage Clinic on June 12 and 13, 2013 and we have a couple openings left. Patti Thurman is a Dressage judge and trainer from Utah and has an extensive background. She is a wonderful instructor and is excellent at communicating to the rider how to work with your horse. We are hoping to get enough interest to bring her back once a month for lessons. I realize that this is in the middle of the week but that is the only time we could get Patti to come see us this time!
Auditing is free and we have an indoor in case of bad weather. We will try and be very flexable in rides times offering early morning and up to 7 pm to avoid the heat of the day! It will be very laid back and all levels are welcome!

Bio:
Patti Thurman, a FEI dressage competitor, trainer and owner of Gateway dressage in Heriman, Utah, believes in classical German dressage training with strong competitive direction.
Patti has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals, Bronze Freestyle Bar and is a USDF “L” Program graduate with distinction. Patti continues to be competitive and has worked hard to attain her success on self-trained horses bringing all breeds to FEI levels including Freisians, Morgans, Atabians and PRE.
Patti’s earlier years of training were well developed by Jan Ebling, Melissa Creswick, and Portugal’s Olympic team member Miguel Duarte.
Currently, Patti trains with Gary Rockwell, International FEI “O” judge and a 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games judge. In the 90’s, Gary represented the USA on his mare Suna and was a team silver medalist at the World Equestrian Games equivalent at that time.
