I rode dressage for about two years in the 90’s with Rebekah Maffei in Orange County. I am interested in doing some dressage again. I ride hunters/equitation, but I have a mare that I think dressage would be a nice change for her and me. So am looking for some suggestions of trainers. I can haul in or they can come to me. I might eventually do some showing at the lower levels. TIA.

Westmanton Stables at Iron Horse Farm has three trainers: Sharon and Grant Schneidman and Nicole Glusenkamp. I have the pleasure of training with all three!

ETA: Facility is located in Elizabeth right off of State Rd 86 (main road between Elizabeth and Franktown). Trailer-ins are permitted. Sharon and Grant each travel for a variety of clinics, including locations on the east coast (CT and MD), and Finland, to name a few.
I ride with Frances Carbonnel at Mariah Farms in Castle Rock. I don’t think she’d go to you, but she does allow trailer ins. I hear nothing but wonderful things about Grant’s program, but can’t speak to it personally. My riding has improved tremendously with Frances. I swapped to dressage after 20+ years of hunterland and feel pretty darn proud of my horse and my progress under her tutelage. The woman has eagle eyes, so if you want someone to insist on precision (like, my right lat was slightly tighter than my left-- she called it out, I fixed it… and that tiny tiny change made such a huge difference!)… hard to beat her!
