Great! Thank you DressageBrat.

Dressage tests!

your welcome, hope everyone is busy practicing!

For USEF test score sheets – you can get them without being a USEF member by signing up for a free “MyUSEF” account at https://www.usef.org/_AUAIFrames/login/signup.aspx … BUT you will have the USEF trying to get you to buy a membership, throughout the sign-up process and forever after, which is VERY annoying. (I am already a USEF member but don’t like the high-pressure marketing at all!)

you dont have to log into usef

Just go to www.nydressageltd.com and upload for free pdf format

http://dressagecanada.org/dcp.asp?pageid=68 has the freestyles as well as the regular tests. I’m 99% sure the Canadians use the same tests as we do.
THank you, dd!!! One difference I did notice, however, is it cannot be any shorter than 4 minutes 30 seconds. In the USDF, it can be as short as you want, but cannot go OVER 5 minutes.

Intro tests

They are posted on many website there is a company call whinny widgets and another company I am not sure of the name. that has diagrams of all the tests in books for each level they ar laminated so they last.

the tests are up to print on www.nydressageltd.com

i use coloured pens and then dots and dashes to help remember each test
so canter green and running line blue is trot with broken long e line - - - –
red is walk -------- dashed line changes are x astrias same coloured pen as the pace

so if you had to walk at h say red askria or x then red ---- to say trot at b blue x then broken line- - - - then say canter at A green x contious line and free walk is black pen
halt and starts are donated by a large dot
hahaha if you write down in diferent cloured pens is easier to remeber i think
How come the tests are so hard to find on the USDF website??? Seriously, if I hadn’t been lead to them by Cothers in the past, I’d never have known the site had them. What is up with that? Not like they don’t charge us enough money as members!

Is it possible to get old dressage tests free from somewhere. At the moment I don’t want to enter any dressage competitions but I’d like to use some old tests to practice on and was hoping that as they’re out of date I would be able to get them free/cheap. Does anyone know if there is a website or something I could get them from?

The USDF site seems to just have the Intro tests, freestyle, quadrille and sport horses tests. Not what I need. Anyone know where I can find the others online? (if not, I guess I’ll give in and order a booklet.)

I’ve subscribed to the digital horse http://www.thedigitalhorse.com/

I think the annual subscription is $35 and for that I have all the tests and a great bird’s eye view of the test being ridden (computerized) with narration. That works really well for me.
