Looking for a dressage trainer in Montgomery County, Texas. I really like riding with my current trainer, but it takes me over an hour to get to her farm in College Station where I’m boarding my horse now, so need somewhere closer.
My horse is a 7 year old Oldenburg, who was off for most of last year, but has been coming back into work since October. I bought this horse to work on getting my bronze medal (my other wonderful gelding is now 20 and going to be a therapy horse). I work full time and have kids and a husband, so this idea of riding myself 5 days a week isn’t realistic, which means I need to board him and keep him in a program (ironic, because I have awesome pasture at my house). I work off of I-45 near Grand Parkway and live just south of Lake Conroe, so looking for somewhere in-between. I’m looking for a place with a lighted, covered arena and it would be great to be able to be at the barn until 9:30/10PM at night, so I can go ride after dinner/kids in bed. I need to be able to have my own farrier come to the barn.
