Dressage Training Barn in Delaware or Chester County, PA

I know there are many other threads on this but I cannot find an updated one. I also know it is winter time and most trainers are down south, but here goes:

I am looking for a dressage training barn with excellent care and very good dressage training. Need a trainer that rides and teaches. I have a little boy so I need someone whom I can trust and depend on as I cannot be there daily. Must be honest, hardworking and definitely friendly. I welcome all recommendations regardless of pricing. Does anyone know anyone who is here for the winter? Also, any suggestions for people who are not here for the winter for future use might be informative. Thanks so much all. Your suggestions mean a great deal to me and I am eternally grateful.

I train with Kymberly Pullen:

She is very good (and very nice)! Sonnysmom boards at the barn she trains out of, so you can PM her for more information on care (she travels to my place). She is in northern Chester county though, so if you are in Delaware that may be a bit far.

Sally Lofting moves to Phil Dutton’s place in the winter (as far as I know she is still doing this) in West Grove, so that may be closer. I don’t know her well–I’ve done a clinic with her and liked her, and she has a good reputation. Someone else may have more knowledge of her.

If I think of anyone else I will let you know. Good luck!

I would also highly recommend Kymmy Pullen. She’s a beautiful sympathetic rider and an excellent teacher. I’ve watched her handle everyone from the youngest pony clubbers to the very experienced with the same attention to detail.

Sally is very nice and givea a good lesson. However my experience with her was as an event coach, not for straight dresssage.

Sharon Best stays in Unionville for the winter, with an indoor.

I am checking with Kymmy. Keep them coming as I do not know if she has space.

Sally Lofting has her own facility in Unionville complete with a beautiful indoor arena. I believe she may go to Florida for a few months in the winter though.

Ok Kimmy is full. Any other ideas?

Melissa Gallagher has a nice indoor and I believe is around all winter.

I don’t know her, but maybe someone on here does.

Emily Donaldson is in Oxford. Again, I’ve only met her so can’t give a recommendation.

I’ve cliniced with Ann Rawle and she’s judge several schooling shows I’ve attended. She’s a retired S judge and seems very knowledgeable.

I think Blue Hill Farm keeps a presence here in the winter, but I’m not sure who is here and who is in Florida.

Good luck!

I second Sally Lofting! Beautiful indoor/footing to work in with mirrors and she is a fabulous rider, competing at the FEI levels. However, she just left for Wellington for the winter. I’m not sure when she’ll be back. Normally she stays home in the winter but this year one of her great clients sent her down with two of the client’s horses to compete.

Hello kcmel. Oxford is almost an hour away and Melissa is 45 minutes. I was there last winter and it was such a hike for me and I have a child. Any other suggestions anyone?

I sent you a PM. Where are you located?

T doesn’t go south in the winter. I believe she is now working out of a barn in the Radnor Hunt area where she can offer training board.

What level trainer are you looking for? Do you need an FEI trainer or a lower-level Rider bat has excellent skills and is a good instructor and writer

The Southeastern Pennsylvania area is saturated with so-called trainers.
