Latest vid from the Maestro. It is on his public FB page and on youtube.
What a fantastic safety demo!
Students everywhere, when riding your 3 year old OTTB and CANTERING HIM UNDER SADDLE FOR THE FIRST TIME!, be sure to arrange your hair in a “skull protecting loose bun” on the back of your head, and eschew that pesky and clearly unnecessary helmet. Bonus points if he does some back humping - but be careful that he doesn’t dislodge the ponytail/bun in the process; remember, you put a lot of work into the “casually messy yet pulled together” look.
:encouragement:
Lack of helmet - ugh, two point not a two point - ugh, wide hands that punish horses mouth - ugh, voice of a man with no sense - double ugh with a cherry on the top.
That was a whole lot of…nothing.
Oh it was something…More of what NOT to do! The commentary was laughable and uninformative…BTW that was NOT two point and NO helmet…
He must of watched that right?
So he must look at it and think, “this is a great representation of my teaching skills”
Alternative reality I tell you.
Suppose the Maestro does such blatantly wrong and dangerous things just to get a rise out of the rest of us?
You mean he’s “maestro-baiting” us…kinda like the way he carries his hands when he rides?
you owe me a keyboard!:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Oh, EWWWWWWW! Good one, Unforgettable! COTH humor never fails to deliver.
At least he changed “cancer” to “canter”…
Nah…I’m guessing he’s hired SW / DressageHub as a social media consultant and she’s giving him advice on making and posting videos
The “spooky horse” one was hilarious!
Two point must have happened in the dark side of the video.
And for a video on cantering for the first time, I would have really liked it better if they didn’t edit out the actual canter transition!
I’m sure the OP will be at Fourth Level in no time, just from watching the Maestro’s videos
I believe he thinks he is the real deal. He is now putting it up on youtube for the whole world to see. He really things he is awesome…BUT his new thing is to get someone else to do the riding so the focus isn’t on him and he avoids critiques of his not so fabulous riding.
Bwahaha
Well we did ask for videos of him teaching…and frankly watching someone else ride is much less painful than watching him! And has been noted before he often says many of the right words and phrases; unfortunately they rarely match what the horse is actually doing.
I came here to reference that video and I am glad to see others have already referenced it.
Nick Peronace, of all videos to post to illustrate and support his “teaching”, he uses this video??? After all of his bloviating about the “great fall from the buckiest Buck of all bucks” that “broke his saddle, cracked open his helmet and darnitall put him in the hospital and even today he has a permanent limp” (cough, bull crap, cough), he lets his student ride a young horse WITHOUT a helmet? He uses that video to showcase his instruction?
oh goody, right now the YouTube video is allowing comments. Here is his reply about the non-helmet: “me personally I always wear a helmet but I don’t own my students and they do what they want. I tried to encourage it but its up to them.”
Teaching a horse to canter, remember.
Cause an OTTB doesn’t… Know… how to canter?
A whaaaa…?
Now is there lots of room to improve the canter of an OTTB?
Of course, and that starts with riding it well at the walk and the trot… and there still will be all that room for improvement, plus some bad habits to clean up too… when this horse gets sold and goes to his new home where he actually gets some decent training, lets hope.
