Salinero looked so fit and happy!
I am loving the great reinback shots. So good to see them from the side.
I don’t like the german breeches - the cavallo logo looks like its dirt or something
Dorothee nice!
What is the ranking number next to the score for the individual judges? After the second rider went he was given a 3 ranking.
NBC pigs like to throw in a commercial right before the most well known riders. Anky, now this guy. NBC sucks the big suck.
I enjoyed Dorothee’s ride.

I didn’t notice it until I read this - now I can’t not see it.

Totally agree. I thought it was dirt on Ingrid’s britches Saturday:no: Tacky.
Watching this guy from Japan I am thinking he is a nice, quiet rider, but he needs a nicer horse.
What a lovely ride - classy, quiet and elegant. A gentleman on his horse.
That Japanese guy is the oldest of the riders; he’s in his 70’s. He went to his first Olympics in 1964!
Perhaps someone should give him a new horse and send that one to me…I’d be pretty darn happy w/ a horse that could get a 68 in international comp!
Granted, he’s not at the top of the heap, but then again, so few are…
I thought Salinero also looked good- like he’s mellowed. Wondering if I missed something specific in his test, as I was a bit surprised at the score, thought it would have been higher.

At 71 years old most folks would need a rocking horse
Agreed, the Japanese rider was such an elegant rider.
Just a note to everyone watching NBC coverage. You can download expat shield from cnet.com for free and watch the BBC coverage which has actual commentary. gasp!
As a side note, when Rafalca was in the ring the Brit commentators made a mention of Rafalca’s score at Gladstone of a 75 and “how inflated the US scores are” at home.

How about how inflated the German scores were at the German national championships?
But we will see, I watched gladstone on line and I thought rafalca was better there than she has ever been Calecto was way better there than I have ever seen him and wizard was far better in florida - just my opinion
oopsy… irish rider get wet.
Darn commute to work, I missed Carl Hester, Anky, and Rafalca! And now it looks like this poor soul in the ring, whose saddle pad flag I can’t see clearly, is in for a bit of a shower.
My internet feed got slow at home but did I see Salinero actually HALT?

I just may do that. The NBC coverage sucks.
Sounds like rain?
