Dressage!

I don’t like the way they’re doing it, but they’re adding up all the individual marks from each of the 7 judges together so the scores look ginormous. To find the percentage (aka the normal way), divide the big numbers by 3290 (470 total potential marks x 7 for each judge).

That was way easier to understand than I expected. Much appreciated!

77.7 for Denmark. Gold stirrups.

I’m thinking Denmark will probably take the bronze unless something disastrous happens with Cathrine Dufour or something really good to Sabine and Sanceo. Germany and Great Britain are almost guaranteed to get gold and silver.

When they come out of the ring, what do the officials check? Bit, spurs, etc?

Yes. Bit, spurs and any spur abrasions that exhibit blood…

Thank you. Hope my questions aren’t annoying :joy: I’m just thrilled to finally be able to watch live

Not annoying at all. I just happen to be awake and I’ll do the best I can. Many of our skilled dressage members are not with us at the moment.

Damn, Werth’s ride with Bella Rose was stunning. :slightly_smiling_face:

You’re fine.
My husband asked if I saw any of these combos compete “at Rolex.” :woman_facepalming:t2:

is there an order of go anywhere?

I’m sure there is but I haven’t looked. I’ll miss the rides if I try.

I wish they’d move it. I’ve been awake too long!

At least they have a replay. I shouldn’t complain.
