Driving in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics

I was looking up where the surfing was being held for the Brisbane Olympics, and discovered this gem:

I told my DH we are now going to the GP Freestyle and the driving. Remains to be seen if it comes to fruition…

Toowoomba is very excited to be hosting the equestrian events and have apparently already started works on the area.

I wonder if it will just be single horses (MUCH cheaper) or if it will be the 4-in-hand teams.

We got SOOO excited … and then were told by the powers-that-be not to hold our (collective) breath. It’s MOST LIKELY not going to be added. Boo.

Vaulting would make a fantastic Olympic event (especially World Cup format: technical test and freestyle only, no compulsories). It takes up a small footprint and can fit into an existing stadium, and it’s super cool and flashy costumes like figure skating … it can totally draw in non-horsey people to watch. Grow equestrian as a whole (we all know that vaulting is a gateway drug to other disciplines, AND it makes riders with great body control. See? Win for the whole equestrian division )

Sigh. I don’t think that’s a real website for the actual Olympics.
