After spending 10 years in Hawaii it is looking like I will be heading to the Maryland area for a few years before I retire and return to Hawaii. While I am there, I would love to take the opportunity to learn a skill set that can’t really be found on the Islands. It was a toss up between sidesaddle and driving but driving won as a skill I could use after riding becomes difficult. I have done a bit of internet searching, but was hoping I could get some recommendations that are within an hours drive of the Ft Meade area. Not sure where I will be living, as the move is still several months, possibly a year, away but I will be working in the Ft Meade area, so that’s as good a place as any to center my search.
The goal is to take driving lessons for a few years, and possibly purchase a large, drafty, pony or small horse that both rides and drives to take back to Hawaii with me. Someone willing to help me accomplish both those goals would be great.
