Does anyone know if it is possible,to,register a foal in more than one registry? I have a foal who is eligible for both GOV and KWPN registration. I want to register her at the GOV Inspection this coming summer because it’s close and convenient. Since her mother is erkend into KWPN and the sire is KWPN, the foal,is also eligible for foal book KWPN papers. If I go GOV, Can I, or someone else, register her as KWPN at a later date if they want to?
World Breeding Federation prohibits dual registration. One horse, one set of registration papers only. This is not to say that some breeders haven’t been able to do this under the radar, but it is not allowed.
While it is possible to do it, you would have to go around rules. Neither of those registries allows it because it is against WBFSH regs. Doesn’t KWPN register by mail esp when dam and sire are already approved for KWPN breeding? If so that is the easier route as it doesn’t require foal inspection.
I think you can have a mare or stallion approved for breeding in a different registry?
Yes horses may have multiple approvals. But approval is very different from registration. Approvals matter for breeders as it relates to the registration options for foals.
