Great pics. It sounds like a wonderful vacation.
I’ll take Elliot. I don’t mind a (gold) bit he isn’t spotted
Stall confinement: Week 12 of ???
New X-rays: Salter-Harris type II is healed! Bone deposit is necessitating more stall rest
Coreene we can have your birthday at the Cow Palace!!!
Maybe we can get you a cowboy coming out of a cake or something!!
Poncho says hi…
Dublin thank you! That was so cool!
I wanted to see the JR puppies.Oh well.
AWESOME!!! Pure and simple how very much fun. And thank you for all the great photos. Hey Merry, me wants Poncho too. He’s adorable! Not to slight Elliot, but I have a thing for paints…
Now I’m really homesick. I grew up in Lake Oswego, graduated from LO High too long ago.
Back then there was one stop light on State St & “A”. The LO Hunt Club was the happening horse place, and I didn’t ride except to cool the “hot” polo ponies at the Hunt Club on an occasional Friday night.
“The older I get, the better I used to be.”
Too bad we couldn’t all meet at HITS Tahoe!!
Thank you Bumpkin and dublin. Maybe next August, I can convince Mr. Mommy to take me on a second honeymoon (10 long years) to CA (where we honeymooned). Of course, he’d have to agree to meet up with y’all!!!LOL
Don’t get stuck in the sludge if you’re that confident in your ride!
Poncho’s best friend, Marbles, stops by to see what is going on…
You have mountains AND beach! For the VA bunch to do that involves a five hour drive
Beautiful pictures, Elliot is wonderful! Concern for the accessability of the Lovely Alice grows in the heart of ETBW, Dublin wanders far to close to British Columbia
Thank you Dublin for the pictures - they are fabulous! I’m glad you two had such a fun day…and you’re so lucky that you got to meet all the animals (and I guess Mr. Bumpkin, too ).
“Oh Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind, hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!”
Gosh, even I think those pictures are gorgeous, and I’ve grown up here! Of course, if anybody visits anytime between October and May, it’s a whole other story. And, even though we have the beach, the water is too d*mn cold to swim in, even in August. So then there’s really just the mountains. But the snow is never that great and the runs are pretty short, so you get bored and don’t go back very often. Which leaves you with the rain, mud, and fuzzy wet horses. Why do I live here?
great pics guys!!
OK, we are going to have to start taking pics of COTH hats in “special” places (COTH hat meets the Dali Lama ) and start a thread, I think…
Well definately come to the PNW to meet up with Jair/Lovely Alice and I!!
dublin, Elliott and bumpkin smile for the camera…
Oh, Dublin, you have made me homesick. I used to live in Lake Oswego and we had a beach house in Gearhart, two towns north of Cannon Beach. I haven’t seen Haystack rock in 3 years. SIGH. And the rose gardens in June when the rose festival is going on. it is really a beautiful area.
For all you out there reading this, Portland is really a nasty, ugly, dirty, rainy town. Do not go there to live (Just doing my part to keep Portland from growing too fast and becoming a metropolian sprawl…)
wty and Merry engage in a game of “rock/paper/scissors” over the spotted Poncho…
Wow, a true Native American Warmblood! That just makes him even more appealing.
Bumpkin, knowing that Merry is already missing her own pinto, dashes off to the nearest Home Depot for a padlock for Poncho’s stall door and a set of motion sensors…

Those are great Dublin! Loved the cap lounging by the waterfall
How nice to see Elliot too Bumpkin! He’s filled out nicely eh?
