Dublin Pinnalce Boots

Anyone have these? Looking for something easier to do than paddock boots and half chaps, but not as dressy as dress boots! Do they ride well? Hold up?

I just got a pair. I LOVE them! However, they aren’t really riding boots. If you have a wider calf and short legs they might work, but they’re really better suited for barn chores and walking around.

I bought mine last spring and really like them. Just being able to pull them on is really nice and you can fit jeans down in them. They work for riding, but are not like wearing a true tall boot. As someone with short legs and a wider calf, they are comfy. They are fun, different boots.

Happy riding,

I love mine.

They are super comfortable and go seamlessly from the barn to town.

One minute I am riding, next minute I take my helmet off and am presentable for non-horsey activities. They are also quite waterproof and withheld quite a bit of sloshing through mud and creeks on hikes without my feet getting wet!

Totally in love!

I also have them and love them. I wear them to work at the barn as well as to ride in. Can wear them for HOURS and not get uncomfortable. They aren’t as close contact a fit as paddocks and half chaps, but for crappy winter weather I really like them. I also have a pair of Dublin paddock boots and am really impressed with how comfortable the footbed is on their boots.

Thanks everyone for your replies! Looks like I will ad them to my Christmas list!

IMO they shouldn’t be used for any serious riding. They’re very comfortable for around the barn, I wear mine like muck boots and they’re holding up great! But they have zero ankle support and that, for me anyway, is a deal breaker for a riding boot. They’re fine for short hacks but I know I would definitely miss the support real tall boots or paddock boots w/ half chaps gives.
