Dujardin Whistleblower News

I actually think that this is worse abuse than CDJ’s (not excusing her for a nanosecond!) it’s systematic and sustained whipping and spurring on top of an entirely inappropriate level of work on a horse that repeatedly says they cannot cope.
And to cause that damage to the walls and be “nah that’s your problem” when it was entirely her actions that caused it……what a nasty, nasty POS
I do hope karma is hungry, I really do

Anyone else wish that horse had just bronced and lawn darted her sorry ass into the wall?

If the owner was right there, why in God’s name would she just not stop that and take her horse home? I do not understand if you are present and witnessing stuff like this you would not step in and pull her off the horse? Is it just me or what???

I’ve been keeping half an eye on these recent threads with CDJ and now AMC over in Eventing but finally logged in to respond to this. What a rotten hypocritical POS this woman is. That video is terrible, but thank goodness it exists.

Yes.

Unfortunately there’s a dynamic whereby people hire trainers they trust and respect, and when it turns out those trainers are doing something wrong it generally takes a long time to figure that out.

You or I would march in and stop this nonsense, but then you or I wouldn’t be training with this idiot because guaranteed she had shown who she was in numerous ways before, horse owner was just too naive or uneducated to see it

This is not me excusing CDJ but honestly I found this video way more distressing. And then calling him a “stupid horse,” making the owner pay for the panels, and saying “don’t tell anyone I ride like that” knowing FULL WELL it was an unfair ride for that horse?

Kinda wild.

How do you boil a frog? If you put him in a pot of boiling water, he will jump out. But you put him in a pot of cold water and bring it to the boil, and he’s cooking before he realises he needs to escape.

The same reason DV victims don’t leave.
The same reason sexual assault victims don’t report.

By the time the abuse is evident, the victim is unsure if it is normal, “everyone does it”, or “it will end soon and everything will be ok”.

I looked up the most recent YRS YouTube video. The first 30 seconds of this are… Ironic.

I so agree.

Seriously she is one crazy bitch.

I lasted about 10 seconds. This type of cheerleader delivery is not my style. Sounds as though she’s talking to pre-schoolers.

Several years ago I happened on one of her YouTube videos. I don’t think I lasted 10 seconds, lol. “Dressage superstars?” There’s probably a portion of the population that likes this kind of claptrap, but count me out.

Perhaps there’s a bit of schadenfreude on my part that I’m glad Alicia Dickinson’s getting her comeuppance. It’s incredible that Dickinson outed CD when Dickinson’s abuse is as bad, if not worse. I’m glad she’s been outed for the awful, abusive nut case she is. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Does anyone know how far apart in time those two videos were taken? I don’t understand how someone who works a horse like that can give a 4-minute lecture about horse pain. What a POS.

As for the lecture itself, I was intrigued by the title and thought she was going to discuss how various aspects of conformation affect a horse’s ability to do various movements - neck set and length, back length, hind end angles, etc. I was curious to see if someone who rode a horse the way she did in the first video was actually more educated about conformation than about riding. But, alas, the lecture was pretty nonsensical and she came off as a total goofball.

I am puzzled by the juxtaposition of the skill/knowledge/philosophy she displayed in those two videos. In one video, she demonstrates that she has no compunction about using whip and spurs to bully around an unfit horse that was clearly uncomfortable, and in the other video she gives a pep talk about horses in pain. Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot.

Wow, she gives serious Ruby Franke vibes. Dislike.

Having gone back and watched the whole video, I have no words for this “trainer”. My heart goes out to the owner. I just don’t understand how these people get away with such abuse and go about their day.

What is an ODG ?

Old dressage guru?

One reason why AD has fled Australia.

ODG = Old Dressage God

It usually refers to the dressage masters of yore, most of whom have gone on. Different people have different thoughts about who belongs in that dressage pantheon, but some of the names usually mentioned are Alois Podhajsky, Nuno Oliveira, Karl Mikolka, Harry Boldt, Reiner Klimke, etc. And I am sure I am forgetting some others who are deserving of that accolade.
