Durable yet affordable saddles?

Hello! I work at a summer camp and am working on ordering new tack and supplies for the summer. I’d like to buy 3 new saddles, probably one a year for the next three years since we have a limited budget.

I’m looking for saddles that are durable and will last many years, that cost no more than $700 (would prefer $500 or lower). Synthetic is preferred since we have lots of tiny kids, and its ok if the saddle doesn’t put you in a perfect position–we cater to beginners and as long as they can keep their heels down and stay on we’re happy. This might be an impossible saddle to find but I want to exhaust all my options before we settle on more $150 King saddles.

I’m looking at the Fabtron Cordura Trail Saddle ($717 but seems to always be on sale!). I’ve heard great things about it but can’t find any reviews that mention its durability. Anyone have a Fabtron and if so how long has it lasted you? (our saddles are used heavily during summer and then stored in a climate controlled building from September-May)

Thanks!

Have you looked at Corriente saddles? If you’re in the States, shipping is free. Most of the saddles are around the $700 mark, but there are “bargain bin” saddles you can get for less.

They’re a decent production saddle and hard using. They only come in a 7" gullet though, I do believe. I know they make smaller kids saddles, but they’re all leather so they may not be exactly what you’re looking for. Good resale on them though.
