I have 225 bales of dusty probably moldy hay (second cut). Should I offer it to area beef raisers or burn it?
I would ask local farmers if they wanted it for cow first, or post on CL for free as cow hay, with the hope being that someone else would come & do the work to get it out of the barn.
If it doesn’t go for cow hay, offer it as mulch hay (to gardeners) on Craigslist or Freecycle.
Craigslist. Bet you can get $1/bale for it.
advertise on craigslist or http://www.ncagr.gov/paffairs/AgReview/class.htm, you can probably get rid of it as cow or goat hay.
