Dutch reserve rider for the Olympics Hongkong beats Germany's #2 and 3#

At Aachen Dutch reserve rider Adelinde Cornelissen and her Jazz offspring Parzival supprised the German team by placing second behind Isabelle Werth, but beating the #2 and #3 of the German team Heike Kemmer and Nadine Cappelman. The Dutch team consisted of three offsprings of the approved stallion Jazz.

Wow! Great for her, she must be thrilled. Happy news!

Wow, that’s impressive! Good for her.

Interesting scoring, esp. comparing Balve/Outdoor Gelderland to Rotterdam/Aachen…at least for the riders that were at these pairs of shows.

It is going to be a very exciting dressage competition at Hong Kong, I think.

Bet the Germans wish they could just have Isabell ride three horses!

LOL

Don’t you think that the Dutch did a good job when they started to invest in the junior and youngriders 12 years ago.:wink: Specially because we did predict that Anky and Isabelle would become to old to ride 3 horses at the Olympics.

Yes it’s 2.30 in the morning, but the junior and youngriders are leaving for the European Championships at Portugal next week, so I have 3 CD and DVD writers working for me at this moment. All these riders are very well trained in riding their horses, but they probably are not trained to collect their CD’s after a competition.:confused:

Good luck…

<<Don’t you think that the Dutch did a good job when they started to invest in the junior and youngriders 12 years ago>>

Yes, most definitely the Dutch are starting to reap the rewards of their ivestments and programs.

I am very sure that Klaus B. wishes there was even one-tenth this interest in investment/programs for the future of dressage in the U.S.

OK Now I am going to tell you a secret The German Equestrian Federation has asked the Dutch (Tineke Bartels) to help them with developing a plan for the junior and youngriders, based on the Dutch blueprint !

Sure.

If only one country wins all the time, it doesn’t get the TV and the sponsors to be excited.

Much better to have healthy competition.

I’m quite sure our federation brains are already lining up to extend the same invitation.

ROFLMAO.

But…:D:lol::D:lol: The Dutch are telling the Germans their secret for 100.000 US$ and then the Germans are going to tell these secrets to the US for 1.000.000 US$.

Exactly!!!

Because our federation brains understand one million US$ and that all of this info will be worth TEN TIMES MORE with a German accent!!!

food for thought:

Population of Netherlands-- approx 16.5 million
Germany 82 million
California 36 million

Oakie, did you watch the press-conference in witch Isabelle made a few very firm statements.

"we really have to start worrying about the Dutch team, because even their #2 team won silver and did beat the Olympic Teams of Sweden, Denmark etc, we (the Germans) have to score 5% more in every test to keep up with the Dutch A-team ".

was that a freudian slip, Theo?:lol::lol:

this is going to be a wierd olympics. but the american selection process hasn’t changed. giving certain individuals a little ‘leg up’ to be sure they get in isn’t new.

Are you sure you aren’t mixing up your threads again, slc?

If not, do tell, won’t you?, which individual do you feel have received an unfair leg up and which poor souls have been passed over
or do you feel. as ridgeback does, that your erudite explanation would be lost on the poor sad novices who frequent the CoTh bulletin Boards.
