DVT peeps...anyone research or think about doing compression therapy?

I’ve had my 2nd DVT in as many years, they are talking about doing life-long blood thinners. That doesn’t thrill me. Went to the PT yesterday and he got a new Game Ready unit. Used it on my back, but he handed me some literature to read while I was using the unit. Seems like there’s been some good results with compression therapy vs. blood thinners.

Now of course I’m scouring the internet to see what’s out there. Anyone have any thoughts? Experiences? And if I can get insurance to pay for the Game Ready unit for me, I just might have to buy the sleeves for my horse…Ok, so I really do want to be off blood thinners, but I guess I have a slight underlying motive as well. Hello! I’m a horse person! The dual purpose is not lost on me
