Hello!!
I have seen many top juniors sponsor with Dynasty Equisports. Ive thought about getting one of their figure 8 bridles along with reins and a martingale. Does anyone know the quality of their leather? The fact that their prices are so good makes me wonder how nice the leather actually is. I currently have an edgewood, and would like the quality to be similar. How do their bridles compare to edgewoods?
Thanks!!
Stall drapes
Hi!!
Id really like to get some stall drapes for when i show with my trainer and the one other girl i ride with:lol: Does anyone know of some places where i can get pretty good quality drapes that are relatively inexpensive? Id like a 12’ drape, a valance, a name banner to hang, and some way or another to have curtains on the other side of the stall (assuming i have a corner stall). Thanks!!
Sorry meant to post that one a different thread
I have one and an Edgewood. Dynasty is a nice bridle but the quality of leather is not the same. I’ve oiled multiple times and it doesn’t get soft buttery feel. It was similar to an hdr one I had. SmartPak wellfleet Edgewood and my Aramas are much better quality leather.
The leather is okay. I have a few of those bridles, but from a different vendor (www.trinitytack.com … the prices are much better). I personally don’t recommend the figure 8 bridle as the way the flash part attaches seems to sit right on their mouth. I have both the wide noseband, and the plain flash bridle, and I quite like them both. The rubber reins are very supple.
From what I know Dynasty Equisports sells Royal tack that comes from India. I bought some things straight from the manufacturer at bridlesandreins.com the shipping is super fast and they have like everything you could ever want. I love the leather it is super soft, I have a bridle, girth, and halter from them, it’s all lovely. Buying it straight from the manufacturer saves you even more money too. Oh and if you happen to be looking at the wave bridle (I know that one is popular) you can email him for that one. I don’t mean to like take any business away, I just like to save money.
The only thing that would sway me from buying straight from Royal Tack is the inability to return things. They say you can … but realistically shipping back to India is never worth it haha.
My boyfriend purchased one of the sets (bridle, girth, breastplate) for my birthday present - back in November. I have not received it.
I also had to ask about 3 times if the bridles come with reins or not before I got a straight answer,
I’m not sure if having the middleman tack store means more quality control, but you should look up past reviews of Royal Sports tack. There are quite a few horror stories out there.
I got a breastplate from them, didn’t upgrade the quality of leather as it was just an attempt to see how the experience went before I bought the bridle I really wanted. Not a horror story, but breastplate quality, other reviews and overall experience meant I’ve never bought from them again.
Hopefully things are improved since tack stores are ‘carrying’ them.

When I manage to get it, if it’s not very good quality, I have to say I’m going to be really upset having to wait that long for some non-custom strap goods.
I also had to ask about 3 times if the bridles come with reins or not before I got a straight answer. If it doesn’t come with the leather reins I was told to “just put in the text box to request the reins, where you put the size and color you want”, they’ll be getting an angry call.[/QUOTE]
I’m sorry you had a negative experience. Your emails in regards to reins were sent during the time when we had our holiday sale, your email was answered with holiday sale information as every other order was placed with this sale. When you clarified that your order was not part of the holiday sale, the appropriate answer was sent. Again I apologize for the confusion! It appears as though your boyfriend purchased a set, each set’s page has specific shipping information. While we encourage everyone to read the information in it’s entirety sometimes people skip over the necessary details such as shipping information. We hope that you enjoy your tack when it does arrive which should be within the next few days. If there are any problems please feel free to email us.
To clarify, the reason why our tack is a bit more expensive is the leather quality. We have used the owner of Royal’s manufacturing services but that is it, many of the bridle designs are original designs that they have decided to sell on their own. The difference between ours with certain models is the anatomical features (figure 8, wide noseband, hack bridle etc…). There are many tack companies who buy directly from Royal and resell, we have tried very hard to set ourselves apart from the usual.
I encourage anyone with questions, concerns and or complaints to contact the email listed on the website, we do our best to answer within 48 hours.
Well, I finally got my set. Bridle, girth, breastplate for $300 ($267 with a coupon code I found, not sure if it still works - FACEBOOK). The quality is definitely worth the price, they’re pretty nice leather. The girth and bridle are also well padded. I like having the choice of gray elastic for the girth and breastplate. I really like gray, and it’s so hard to find on horse stuff!
Was it worth waiting 2 months for? Not really. Especially since they sent rubber reins when I specifically requested leather reins.
***edited: they are sending me replacement leather reins. That’s great of them to do so, but just has me going on 9+ weeks before I can use my new tack since it was ordered. Which sucks.
