Dy'on Difference Bridle for Sensitive Poll?

I am guessing this is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone here has had success using the Dy’on Difference bridle–or something like it–for a horse with poll sensitivity. My vet swears up and down that it makes a world of difference for some horses. I’d be willing to give it a try, but the $530 price tag is a bit daunting. Not to mention that the bridle is ugly as sin.

We’d likely have to use this at home for awhile, hopefully the horse would not need to use this forever and always. Thoughts?

Call Running Fox at 519-942-3933. There is a DEMO bridle that you can try. They will ship it to you wherever you are.

Thanks, Copilot!

Well it made a difference for Kevin Babington, who won the Hampton Classic GP using it. There was an article where he mentioned how beneficial it was to that particular horse (I don’t remember the name) and that he now has several of those bridles for his horses.

They work! A girl at our barn has one for her big jumper, and she (and all of us) have noticed a large difference in the horses overall attitude improvement and the horse has been jumping more clear rounds lately too (that could be placebo but it is very coincidental). They don’t look that ugly on, and I think one bonnet company is making a bonnet that can go under them without falling out.

Dy’on bridles are also so well made that they will last you forever their craftsmanship is great!

Thanks, BAC and lando. It’s good to know anecdotes of success. While I’d have no problem using the bridle to school at home, my horse is a hunter and I’m afraid that the unconventional look of it would be a turn off to judges. But for now, I am focused on getting him comfortable- this sounds like it could help.
