E.A.Mattes Dressage Girths: Elastic Ends?

I want to try the Crescent-Shaped Mattes dressage girth on my funny-shaped pony. Thing is, he’s made it clear he needs elastic so he can breathe. <BIG sighs>

There’s only one site I’ve found: Uberhorse: Are E.A. Mattes Girths Elasticated? - that says, yes, they are.

All other sellers omit this from their descriptions, including their main site: World Equestrian Brands.

Can anyone by experience confirm they have elastic ends?

(If you know about any of the Mattes shaped girths [Asymmetrical, Athletico, Contoured, Crescent], it will likely be consistent for all).

(I don’t have a tack store that carries these; nor much faith in info. by phone from distributors).

Pony and I will be grateful!

I have 3 of the long girths and they definitely do have elastic at both ends. I do not, however, know if that applies to the dressage girths. I kind of wonder if it changed over the years as I have seen some used ones advertised that say they don’t have elastic. Mine were all purchased from World Eq Brands directly (in the outlet for cheap!) over the last 3 or 4 years.

You might look at eBay to see if any dressage girths are (or have been) listed as the descriptions might include whether elastic or not. Not saying buy there, but at least see what sellers have to say.

Thanks horsepoor! They may have changed some - the bodies are now leather instead of the quilt material. I’m pretty sure the dressage lengths are not elastic. Could be the long ones are, though.

I’ve been looking at other brands too - the crescent shape is hard to come by in 32", even from eBay.
