Early nominations for the Kentucky Derby ended yesterday (1/27/2025). Will they release a list of the nominations? When does that usually happen?
Since the early nomination fee in “only” $600, I would think you can assume that every 3yo colt who has some black type, or even just a nice win or two, has been nominated.
In 2024, there were 345 early nominations.

Wonderful. That means that Caldera is nominated.
They used to put out a pdf a few days after early nominations closed. But I honestly haven’t looked for it in many years, so I wouldn’t have noticed if they stopped. I can’t remember if it was via Equibase or the Kentucky Derby site, but it was always easy to find and usually the major news outlets link it.

For the first four horses, what does the “(22)” beside their names mean? None of the other horses have that.

They are unnamed.
The 22 is their year of birth and the name behind it is their dam’s name.
