Stoney Ridge Farm in Chelsea is just west of Ann Arbor. 734-395-9085. The Alders have owned it for years and do a mix of local, A and AA shows.

This cause me to do a bit of looking, myself (having moved away from Michigan some years ago) and apparently Stoney Ridge is now called Woodbine and that is where the Clappertons are located. They are strictly AA with a good reputation. They have a website.

Cindy Phibbs at Hidden Lane Farm

Check out Hidden Lane Farm. Cindy Phibbs is wonderful, the facility is well maintained and neat as a pin, some grass turnout, reasonably priced, and super close to U of M, on the west side of Ann Arbor. I rode there as a junior and through my undergrad years. Cindy is old-school and takes great care of her horses. The barn goes to MI and out of state A shows. Have fun in Ann Arbor!!

Sari Clapperton now has what used to be called Stoney Ridge. She has competed and won at the highest level and has all the skills. Good place to look in to.

barns ann arbor mich

definitely recommend Cindy at Hiden Lane.Boarded and rode with her for years. Honest and really nice people.

Depending on how far you are willing to drive, Fox Meadow Farm is in Temperance, MI. Polly Howard is the trainer. Great program and excellent horse care. They do mostly A and AA rated shows. Very honest and nice people. The best barn I have ever been with. There are a few boarders there that commute from Ann Arbor on a regular basis.

Willowbrooke Farm (willowbrooke-farm.com) is the home of the U of M Eq team. It’s kind of a large lesson factory but they show everything from C to AA, and host multiple local member and B shows.

My trainer just moved about an hour away or I’d recommend her, unfortunately that commute was just too much for me.

I’m just wrapping up my grad school experience at U of M, feel free to PM me if you have any further question about horses or A2 life!
