Sounds like California is really getting pounded by all the storms, but how is it effecting Santa Anita’s meet, as well as Northern California? I can’t help but remember all of the breakdowns years ago in the midst of similar rainy conditions and all the controversy it caused. Now, I realize that it was on an artificial surface, but was the only major cause? I certainly don’t want to see something similar this time.
Golden Gate Fields closed for a couple of days due to the weather. No training and no racing. Despite the track being synthetic, there were drainage problems underneath.
