Eggbutt verbindend in a bradoon

I switched my horse to an eggbutt “verbindend” (style, not an actual NS mouthpiece) snaffle in May and he’s had an amazing change in both his carriage and quietness of mouth - very soft, very still, and generates small amount of lipstick. He went from “inconsistent in contact” to “no noseband”

Now we are looking to put him up in a double, and I’m wondering what to do - I can get an eggbutt bradoon in a similar metal but a straight lozenge style, or a verbindend mouthpiece but in a loose ring.

Has anyone had a similar experience, and what did they choose? Mouthpiece or cheekpiece stability?

There are no local bit fitters with these style bits, I have to buy them either from overseas (my current bit is from the Netherlands and is not stocked here) or down south, and I am on the hook for the whole amount if the horse goes “yeah nah”.

I know that people say it is the hands that matter, but the horse clearly finds this style of cheek/mouth/metal combination pleasant, and I’d like to honour that moving him forward.

I think I just saw that neue schedule is now making eggbutt verbindends

Yes, I know. I have a similar one.

I want one in a bradoon. Which no one makes.

Sorry I didn’t look closely at the website before but usually neue schule offers different mouthpiece and ring sizes for the same bit on their website, so it doesn’t specifically say bradoon vs snaffle. In this case it looks like right now they only offer 12mm mouth up to size 5" and one ring size, since it’s a new offering.
