Hi All, the more I walk in my house in these, the more they hurt- my ankle. The seam where the elastic joins the leather goes right across the point of my ankle bone. FYI
I bought some Tuccis when I was overseas (at Emmers, much more affordable!). I have narrow ankles and a fairly normal foot. Tried on several brands. My only complaint with them (I have the everyday model with 2 zips, not the slip on ones) is that thereās basically only a footbed under the heel and a leather sole. So my feet get way too cold on colder days. They are fair weather boots only.
I like that they are thin to give me a good feeling in the stirrup but they are not great for walking around. I had also tried on some of the Parlanti K short boots which are much more comfortable for walking and are buffalo leather so a little more durable I think for the wash rack. Didnāt buy them at the time but just ordered a pair from Europe and they have handled our spring snow well. Much more comfortable for hand walk days, and I expect also for when I get back to teaching lessons. They are a bit roomy in the toe and run about at least a full size big.
I tried Ego7 tall boots some years ago and could not find the right size. The foot is mu arch wider and for the tall boots the calf is a lot more shaped compared to the Tucci counterparts. Neither of those features work for me.
Would I have paid $500 for the Tuccis? Probably not. I think I paid more like half that price and they are definitely nice. Parlanti is having a sale through today if you want something returnable and more durable. Their regular paddock boots are way too soft/delicate, but the leather on the K boots and the Goodyear sole seems like it will hold up to some mileage.
I found exactly what I was looking for. They came today. VERY comfortable. Front zip. Had to add a pair of Ariat Insoles to make them fit perfectly. If you are looking for a comfortable paddock boots these are it. Wonāt win any fashion awards but sometimes you have to sacrifice beauty over comfort. And they are on sale. Runs TTS. Could walk in these all day long.

Their paddock boots are wonderful. I take them off when Iām done riding. I would never do barn work in them.
Do they feel at all like an athletic shoe? Or more like a normal paddock boot?
They fit like a paddock boot but with a much more cushioned foot bed and a rubber sole and they are more lightweight.
To circle back in case someone searches for info on Ego7 paddock boots⦠I ended up keeping the Ego7 paddock boots I ordered (mine are the front zipper style), and I REALLY like them. Initially I could hardly get them zipped, but removed the insoles (evidently theyāre made to use with or without the insole to make a more customized fit). They are still snug in the ankle area, but not uncomfortably so. The toe box is super roomy, which sort of surprised me because they do have a bit of a pointed toe. The first day I wore them to the barn, I took my old boots in case I had to switch them out due to blisters, but really, after they loosened up slightly from wearing around the house a hour or so, they were comfortable. The only thing I wish they had was a spur rest, but otherwise, Iām really happy with them, and even thinking about ordering the matching half chaps. Iād definitely recommend them.
