So I’ve read on here that these run extremely small in the calf…my calf is right at 34 cm and I’m a slim in everything except Parlanti. I can do the 33.5-35.5 option or 35.5-37 cm option. I know people have said to size up, but that seems like a pretty drastic jump to go to a 35-37. Any thoughts? I have pretty normally shaped calves and skinny ankles. Thanks!
I bought a pair of the extra slim and they were definitely toward the smaller side of the range. They also have very little stretch. I couldn’t get them to work from me unfortunately.
Definitely do the 33.5-35.5. My left calf is bigger than my right and I was at the very top of the range. It took a lot of work, but with some boot stretch and a few weeks of wearing around the house, they turned out fine.
I bought a pair of the Ego 7 Orion boots in August or so. I went for the pair that was easier to zip up and I wish I’d gone smaller. While these are not in any way easy to get up, I know I could have gotten an even tighter fit with the next size down. The trick is to slide your finger behind the zipper and not use the zipper tab - they will pull up a lot easier and you can go for a tighter fit. I think they run TIGHT in the calf as opposed to slim. I’ve seen many, many people squeeze into these and it’s just a matter of knowing how to finesse the zipper. You should also use zipper wax regularly with these and it will help get them up.
I also think they run huge in the foot, probably because they don’t have a square toe. I wish I’d gone smaller, as my foot has way too much room. I’m normally a 37 and I think I should have gone 36 with these. I can’t return them so I haven’t verified my true size just yet. I also find the snap at the heel hard to get on - I have to bend my toe down as far as I can to get it to snap. I hope over time it will stretch a little.
I’m so glad it’s not just me! My husband literally had to zip me into the left boot for two weeks.
