I’ve got a lovely pair of field boots with elastic laces, but they’re just a bit roomy the foot this year and I’m wondering if I can switch out the elastic laces for regular laces that I can tie. Mine are Monacos and it looks like I can cut the laces and put new ones in, but I’m afraid!
Yeah you can cut them! I had to with one pair of mine and they look pretty much the same with the more traditional laces! You will be ok.
I have the Monaco’s and cut the elastic laces out. I much prefer being able to manually adjust my laces as opposed to the elastic. I just tuck the bow ends into the boot at the gussets. It looks just like traditional field boots.
