I was watching Shark Tank (the episode with the horse pants ) and there was a pitch for an app called EmergenSee earlier in the show.

It streams video, audio, and GPS location from your phone to chosen contacts/first responders. It’s purpose is for when someone scary is following you, but I thought it would have been great for when I was riding some questionable horses alone.
Like several of you, if I’m riding a horse I’m particularly unsure about, I’ll often text my boyfriend “I’m at X Barn. I’m getting on, and I’ll be done in 30 minutes.” He “knows” if I don’t call or text to call me, and if I don’t answer to send help. But I wonder if he actually would or if he would lose track of time or wait a few minutes to see if I’m running late, etc.
But this app allows you to set an alarm, and if you don’t turn it off before the time is up, it immediately sends live video to your chosen contacts. So he can see if I’m face down in the dirt, or just cooling off a few minutes late.
Anyways… it’s free, and I thought it might be a good option for some of us who often ride alone.
