Eq. boot brands

Looking to buy some nice eq boots.

Preferably under $400
No fuzzy
no Velcro, would love buckles.

Does anyone know of any good brands?

I very much like equifit, eskadron, I’ve seen some really lovely open front (but quite old) Dover-brand boots as well that I was quite fond of but those probably aren’t made anymore sadly.

I found a set of Amerigo hind boots at a shop on sale for over 75% off, because there where a few small scratches on them. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do about front boots, but keep an eye out for something to match. Later that same afternoon, I went by a consignment shop, and they had open fronts that where almost idental style, only difference was the buckles on one pair where chrome and the other pair it is brass.

What I am trying to say from this, is that keep an eye out for used ones. I got the whole set for less than $200 and one pair is new, and the other is almost new. If you have any consignment shops near you, look there. Just keep your eyes open for something, and not always where you expect it.

For that price, the Equifit D-teqs or Luxe

For that big of a budget, just get whichever pair you want. I would say Equifit just because they’re trendy and good looking, or maybe veredus if like me you’re not a fan of the equifits.

I love my Beval boots!

I’ll second the Beval boots. I think they are a nice clean and classic look. They have many (4?) sizes and seem to fit well on every horse I’ve tried them on. Not the case with the equifit boots I have tried.

Equifit Luxe leather open fronts. They look so good in the eq ring!!!

Took me half a page to realize we were talking about horse eq boots and not tall boots for equitation. I have been away from eq for so long I perked right up with intrigue when I read she preferred boots with buckles. And Open front…I was trying to put together the idea of polo boots. Then…oh, yeah. Horse. boots. Ha hah. I’m nuts, I know.
