I’m on the hunt for a new equestrian belt, but I’ve mostly seen $60 belts which is ridiculous. My fiancé bought me a c4 belt for my birthday but he had a cutting malfunction and now it’ll only fit a small child. Any suggestions? I need something that will fit in my smartpak pipers so it can’t be super wide.
If you want an unassuming, neutral color, I love these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FZ3JLX2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This style is very popular right now and they are super adjustable

Etsy has lots of great elastic surcingle belts available for good prices. I have snagged a few for $20!
I love this belt.
I love Unbelts! Tons of colour options.
I’m a big fan of the Hunt Club derby belts! They come in lots of different colors and are very comfortable. Super affordable at $34 (plus they have a buy 2, get the 3rd 50% off deal going on right now)
I love The Tried Equestrian (triedequestrian.com) you will most likely be able to find a stylish belt for a steal on there!

Are those similar to the USG belts? They look like it based on the photos and description, but way more color options. Though half again as much $$$
I think they’re basically the same thing. Admittedly, I’ve never had the USG belt but took a quick look at some google pics and they look VERY similar (if not exactly the same, with different color options).
Well those are cute!!
I bought a Shires belt from my local tack shop that is made of stretchy material that I love and even wear as an everyday belt because it’s so comfortable! I’m not sure if it will be too wide for what you need, though.

My other belt is an Edgewood with nameplates of all of my horses I’ve ever owned on it, but was much pricier. It’s a thinner belt and fits through pretty much any type of belt loops and is excellent quality, though.
I just remembered, I had a nice Tory belt years ago that was thin like the Edgewood and also good quality. I’m not sure what they go for anymore, but they shouldn’t be too expensive.
I just bought a belt from Central Kentucky Tack and Leather. Holy cow it was affordable. I think I paid like $50 for a medium brown belt with white stitching and a brass nameplate with brass hardware. I’m a size 24 in breeches so I ordered a size 26. If you fit in a belt size up to 30 you can pay the child’s price!
Mine hasn’t arrived yet but the ones that I’ve felt are gorgeous and heavy duty. They also make padded, triple stitch, rope inlay, and creased belts!
BTW if you are in need of a NICE leather halter for an even nicer price, check them our. You can get one for around $75, including stitching and a nameplate.

I have a couple of Tory belts, very nice bridle leather and good quality, they are quite old and still look almost new. Reasonably priced as far as I remember.
Really like these belts for the money. Not the world’s softest leather, but they hold up great, and I love the tooled look and the custom options. https://gavereleather.net/
I have an UnBelt, it’s really adjustable! It eliminates the weird gapping behind because sometimes the waistband of breeches don’t fit me super well. I think it’s also machine washable which is nice. I also have just a thick black leather belt with a silver buckle, goes with just about everything.
Followup. I ordered one of the Hunt Club derby belts suggested by @adultammylife and really like it. Definitely similar to the USG belt I mentioned in my post upthread, but there’s something about the design of the buckle that makes the belt sit flatter as it goes through the buckle if that makes sense. In addition to the buy two, get one at half off, they have some belts on sale.
Um I just noticed one of the Unbelts has horse shoes…
I have a Mango Bay Designs belt that I got about two years ago at Rolex/Land Rover trade fair that still looks great and while I don’t recall the cost it was definitely under $60, they’re also a fairly small business (or they were when I got the belt), it’s not a leather belt, cloth (not sure exact material and I think it varies depending on the specific belt as I know they have a few slightly pricier Turkish Ribbon belts). I have several C4 belts but frankly what I’ve found is most of the ones with fun patterns, the patterns wear off where they rub the belt loops, and some of the ones I see online that try to mimic a pattern you’d see on a leather belt just look cheap (last C4 belt I bought was the one with the jockey silks design circa 2018). I have a Tory leather belt that I bought fairly cheap (wanna say $30) at a random tack store at a small horse show and I’ve had that thing for years and it’s still holding up well. Also have a Perri’s Leather belt that’s quality and I believe was maybe $40 tops. Depending on what you want I’d say check out Perri’s, Tory Leather (pretty sure they’re easy to find on literally every major tack retailer’s website), or maybe Mango Bay if you want something a bit different. The Tory and Perri’s belt I have are both really narrow. (I have no clue if any of these are in style as I kind of do my own thing on that front)
