Equestrian PR/Marketing Agencies?

Does anyone know of reputable equestrian focused PR/ marketing agencies? For example, a agency that may represent different horse shows or grand prix riders and deal with their branding, marketing and public relations. There is of course Phelps Media Group and Jump Media LLC, but are there any others?

Hmm. How about Alden Corrigan Media LLC, Jennifer Wood Media, EQ Media LLC?
Apologies if those are not what you are looking for, they are just ones I have happened to hear of! Good luck!

Mythic Landing Enterprises LLC is another one.

Frankie Theriot Stutes’ business is another one (she’s an upper level eventer) https://athletux.com/

I have no suggestions, but I’m interested in your question. Why do you ask (if you don’t mind sharing)?

Carrie Wirth with EQ Media is great.

Catie Staszak (spelling??) does a nice job.

No particular reason! It seems interesting that even the highest level professional riders don’t appear to be represented by a PR company and/or agent - or at the very least- it isn’t known to the general public. If you think about other professional athletes (i.e. NBA, NFL, MLB etc) it is almost an unwritten rule to have a company that helps you to properly represent your brand (think of CAA). While I understand that the equestrian sport is a bit of outlier in comparison, I do believe our professional riders definitely have the same level of prominence and net worth as other top athletes in the country and therefore should be represented in the same way.

Some of the PR companies that I’m aware of also do web design and if you scroll to the bottom of some of the upper-level riders’ websites for the “site designed by XYZ” in the footer, that usually gives you a clue who their PR team might be, just if you’re curious and want to know who anyone’s PR firm is - but not all sites have that and not all PR firms do web design.

Now that I find funny! I don’t know many top riders who even own their own homes without significant help or previous family finances. I bet they surely don’t have the net worth of even the low paid NHL players. Of course, in your head you are thinking of Springsteen, Gates,… then that is family money and they already have whatever PR resources needed.

And prominence? Walk down the street and ask folks if they know the names of McLaine Ward, David O’Conner, Mike Plumb,…

The only place these names have prominence and worth is within the insular world of the sport. I’ll let you know the next time I see in the news Reed Kessler donating public service time at the children’s hospital.

I think you may have misinterpreted. It was simply a positive comment that it would be nice for the sport to have the same level of representation as others did.

Following 2019 WEF there was an extremely informative panel discussion “Jumping into the Future” with some of the sport’s greatest riders, owners and trainers. Receiving considerable attention was the need to present rider-athletes as do professional golf and tennis present their athletes. With more people knowing the back stories of equine athletes will make the sport and its athletes more attractive. There’s a startup marketing group in Wellington to do that.

That’s awesome! Do you know the name of the startup?

I’m very encouraged by this. I hope it comes to fruition.

It makes me sad that equestrian sport is so obscure in America. It is a huge spectator sport in other parts of the world. If we had spectators and greater overall interest, our athletes would have greater access to sponsorship. Then the sport might actually be more accessible to people who aren’t millionaires.
