My horse is a very short backed 14.2 and my saddle is a 17.5
Thanks! Appreciate the headsUp! but it’s not striped. Those are indentations in the padding/quilt…they are shadows. And …i wouldn’t show in this pad. The gray clashes with my mare’s gray. Her points (muzzle, eye, hooves) are a warm gray and this is a cool (blueish).
I ordered the new Aurora Blues pad when it went on sale this morning. I liked that it has navy edging so I can use my navy boots with it and still be matchy.
Now I see PS of Sweden has a similar new blue too, with a subtle flora and I want that one too now. With the matching polos. So far (5 minutes) I am resisting.
It also seems like ES used to offer matching boots for all pads and now they offer matching polos. I wish they’d offer boots again instead.
Tried to order that blue last night but the web site was wonky and wouldn’t permit it.
Gee thanks for pointing that out… I have navy boots too. That Aurora Blues would look smashing on my chestnuts. My “dark sky” pad hasn’t seen the light of day yet due to this boots matching issue.
I just got a great deal on a navy show jacket that has pleats in the back, so now I really need the PS Sweden Navy Ruffles pad to go with it.
My big mare went to a pony club schooling show as her first “show” and rocked the orange pad. Next weekend we’re going to do some schooling dressage tests, and I’m planning the light blue “Floret” pad and have the matching shirt on its way.
Free if you spend 150EUR or more.
I just about lost my mind when I saw the amaranth collection and fed ex tracking says it is arriving today. Less than a week shipping to come in from Sweden.
lol - I also have a chestnut, aurora blues will look great on them!
For Dark Sky they sell matching polos! If not those I’d probably just pair with neutral black or white but I’d prefer the match. Dark Sky is beautiful, I am not usually a pink person but I love love love the rose gold accents. The Monaco Blue has that rose gold and it is my favorite.
I also got the Crystal Gray pad at a show this summer, which also has navy edging so I didn’t have to buy new boots for that one either.
I’m out of the saddle pad game for now. Sold my rideable horse and bought a yearling maybe, if I’m lucky, this one will be big/long enough to wear PS of Sweden one day. My last horse was far too compact.
I am a bit frustrated that I’ve been waiting for a Fig color from LeMieux for a long time and they’ve just now come out with it…might buy it anyway I can save it for 2 years from now, right?
I was meaning my riding boots are navy, and the pair I have on order are cinnamon. I love the idea of polos, but it’s often too hot here, or I just don’t have the time and patience to fuss with them. I have a scheme in place for a pair of black polo boots while the Euro is low, but want to make sure the brown pair turns out right before ordering another pair.
Ohhhh, I meant brushing boots. My matchy matchy ends with the horse because it’s difficult for me to find stuff in my size. So I just try to be neutral and I let him look polished!
Sooo… ES has 25% off almost everything for 24 hours (not sure when it started exactly).
This order was a little boring - the Total Eclipse pad because I don’t have a nicer black pad and then the logo-free pads in white and navy for showing.
God dammit outer banks…
I just bought three more saddle pads. That I needed like a hole in the head.
But thanks to Outerbanks post…I finally found the “no badge” models. I wished they made more of these.
Oh, and the reflective black jacket I just had to have. At least I can wear that in addition to riding.
Poverty loves company, but at least we’ll look good.
I would blame you too but also my guy is going to look great in his incoming stone blue and dusky rose sets so it’s hard to get too mad.
I love my ES stuff but am looking for some non fleece boots that keep legs cool. Does anyone have a favorite? The recent studies saying heating legs isn’t good have me want to redirect, but I also want to Matchy-matchy!
Thanks for the sale I discovered Monaco blue has matching boots so I ordered those. I’d been using the matching polos but those aren’t as easy.
Fleecy boots are cooler than anything neoprene because the fleece allows SOME air.
But for the coolest boots ever (not matching, really), the Shires Arma are the coolest boots ever, at a good price point. They’re a bit ugly though.
I second the suggestion of Shires Arma Air Motion boots for breathability—they really are amazingly cool. They’re not super fancy looking but they do come in different colored straps, like teal and plum and raspberry (all of which would look very pretty on your gelding, just saying…).
