Equibone? Bone Wise?

Anyone have experience with either of these products? Or something similar?

Yes I’ve used Equibone on two different horses, one with a broken coffin bone and one with mild navicular changes.

Both horses were fed per the loading instructions on the bag. The one with the broken coffin bone healed in near record time (was cleared for turn out less than 5 months after diagnosis) and the fracture (was a completely clean break, not just a crack) actually healed up more dense than the rest of the coffin bone. He returned to work and I took him off of the supplement after the 5 month loading phase. He has returned to jumping and does not appear to have any lasting affects at this point. Highly recommend for fractures.

The navicular horse, I did not see any change after the loading phase. His navicular changes are very minor and their success stories seem to be horses with severe pitting. So perhaps he’s not bad enough? Not sure but I couldn’t justify keeping him on it at $250 a bag when there was no change. I would consider it again if he starts getting pits. But at this point shoeing is keeping him sound and preventing any significant changes.

So I would say it depends on what you’re using it for.
