equifit hoof tape

i saw the tape on Facebook and insta and am debating getting rid of the duct tape for it and picking it up for harrisburg. I wanted some feedback before i go out and get it.

anybody using this???

Is it available yet? I wasn’t sure…

yep. http://www.equifit.net/necessities/product/4394-pack-n-stick-hooftape

We have it at the Farm House. Haven’t tried it on a horse yet, but it’s certainly sturdy stuff. Just for ease of application, I’ll give it a try.

Whoa that’s expensive. You guys know Duct tape comes in sheets right?

That’s even more expensive than the Equi-Tape kinesio tape for horses!

$23.75 per hoof is insane. You could buy gorilla tape and pay someone to put it on for you for less than that. Greedy mofos.

Yeah, you could buy about 16 sheets of duct tape for that price (sheets are 6 for $8.88 on the WalMart web site.)

Isn’t it $23.75 for a pack of 6 pairs? So about two bucks a hoof. Not so bad there!

I didn’t know! Thanks ejoytheride!!!

$325 for a 100 “pair” pack on EquiFits website (so $1.60 ish a hoof???)

You can use poultice paper and vetwrap for the same effect, no tape required. Much less expensive.

Another option - use 1 layer of Elasticon as base layer on hoof then duct tape for outer layers/waterproofing. Will last for days with occasional additional duct tape on toes.

That makes more sense. I thought it said each.
