Hi All, I posted a question about the Invictus Saddle Pad and just stumbled across this one - http://www.equifit.net/saddle-pads/product/1411-impacteq-half-pad . Anyone know anything about it?
Thanks,

I am sure there are many other posts on this, I remember seeing one just a few weeks ago so you could get some more answers there.
I have the fleece covered version. I quite like it, it isn’t as bulky as some of the other pads i have so it fits under a custom saddle. It has memory gel in it, and I do think it helps with saddle comfort for the horse. However, it might be thinner than you are expecting if you get it. If you live near a Dover store they usually have them in stock and you can go feel them.
I use to have one of these pads, I bought it on sale and ended up selling it for more than I paid for it and I was happy I sold it. I live in New England and do not get to travel down to the sunny south but as soon as it got below 40, this half pad would be rock hard in the tack room (which obviously isn’t heated). The pad might work better too riding for something more custom fit, but for how thin it is I felt there was nothing going on except for me sitting on a frozen 2mm piece of “foam”. That’s the best way I can describe it. I did multiple rides before selling it, I rode with and without it in the same ride and much preferred riding just my saddle and a saddle pad than with this pad in between.
I like EquiFit products but this one fell extremely short for me.
Look on invictus website, they tested these pad against some of the top brand. I have been using it for awhile and really like it. The tack store had a demo one also.
There’s a lot of big rider loving this pad, Erynn Ballard, Andy Kocher etc. It’s not for every horse.
