Does anyone have any of the equifit t-sport polo wraps, if so how do they hold up? Because I have read some mixed review about them.
I have a pair and have nothing but good things to say about them. They were pretty pricey but for the quality and durability, think they’re worth it. Also very easy to clean and look sharp on any horse. I personally only use them at shows/clinics but I would imagine they’d hold up for every day use.
I’ll offer an opposing opinion/experience: they’re awful - they take forever to dry, you have to hand wash with cold water and no part of them can touch or they’ll stick together. If you try to wash them in a machine, they’ll melt and peel apart. Forget putting them in the dryer - ever. I recommend Eskadron Climatex wraps instead, they are durable, stretchy - and thus offer some actual support, wick away moisture, and don’t stick together or melt.
I like them for use better than the Climatex wraps, but they are a lot more fragile than they should be. I have two sets that I’ve been able to nurse along for a few years now, after destroying the first set I bought by putting them in the dryer (dumb, I know!)
Before I retired him I would throw them on my old man for riding when he stocked up behind and they did a better job of keeping his legs cool and staying put than the Climatex. I do wash the Equifits in our machine, and then just hang them to dry. But they are stupidly expensive and I would not recommend them for everyday use because I don’t think they would hold up.
I think it would be hard to find a better looking wrap, they are great on literally any horse. They’re so easy to wrap with also. However, they do not last. I’ve had much better luck hand washing after each use, but I no longer have time to do that so they go in the washer now. I wouldn’t recommend them for every day use, but they’re great for showing or clinics.
I have a pair and agree they are the best wrap for a sharp looking polo with the cooling technology. I hang mine to dry after every time I use them and spot clean. They do require a little TLC but for me, worth it. I love them!
I’ve had mine for 2 years and been the groom at a barn that used them on a LOT of horses (I say this because I also did the laundry!).
machine washing them is A-ok, I machine wash on cold and then peel carefully and hang to dry. I’ve never ripped a pair!
they are fragile, yes, but I am a firm believer in the equifit technology. I use all of their products I can get my hands on.
Love mine. They’ve held up to daily use well. Washing them is a little annoying but I put them in a mesh garment bag and throw them in the washer with no issues as long as I take them out and hang to dry when they are done washing - no leaving them to sit in the washer!
