Equiline Grip Bandages or Eskadron Climatex Polos?

I have been looking for a new pair of wraps for working on the flat and was wondering what everybody thought about each of them?

I don’t have any experience with the Equiline bandages, but after seeing all the rave reviews on the Eskadron Climatex polos I bought a pair and was unfortunately super disappointed. I’m not sure if I got a dud pair, since I haven’t really heard of this happening to others, but mine have pretty much fallen apart after maaaaybe 6 months of total use over the period of 2ish years. If I don’t wrap them quite tight, they slide down around the fetlock, and by wrapping them tight enough to stay on, they have stretched out with the stretchy bit having huge runs in it and the climatex bit thinning out in a bunch of places.

They aren’t polo wraps, because I am too lazy to polo wrap… So you can take this or leave it, but I love my Equilibrium Stretch & Flex Training Wraps. I don’t have to mess with the hassle of a polo, and they can be washed off with a water hose post workout. My vet loves them.

I highly recommend them. They are a little pricey, but I found mine used for a steal.

I was really happy with my Eskadron Climatex wraps. They’ve been abused, left out in the sun and rain, hung over fences, and suffered all manner of unfair treatment and still look new and haven’t stretched. I’ve had them for two years.

They’re a PITA to wrap, so I don’t use them as often as I want to - they usually only come out when I’m feeling especially motivated.

I like the Eskadron wraps, they’re all I’ve been using recently because I haven’t wrapped a polo in about 3 years and my first 2 attempts I was unhappy with, so the Climatex polos came out- grey down, black up- it’s like a cheat sheet!

I have a pair of climatex - I found they got worn looking quickly. I like the idea but not the price. I prefer boots in the long run.

I have the Equiline work bandages and I LOVE THEM. I recommend them to everyone!

Thank you greywithchrome for recommending our Equiline work bandages. I was also going to suggest that bellannreed consider our work bandages as they are very highly applauded by all those who have tried them.

I love my eskadron climaxtex wraps, I have used them for years and have had no problems.

I’ve used a lot of fancy expensive wraps (Eskadron, Equifit, etc), but I’ve stopped using all of them and am 100% committed to plain old Saratoga wraps. You get 4 for $65 and in my humble opinion they’re perfect.

The don’t cause any heat, because they’re thin and breathable, they don’t hold moisture because they wick and dry so fast, and they don’t slide AT ALL because of the two strips of silicone.

Seriously - I’m never using another kind of wrap. I love these things.

Do you just use the saratoga wraps on their own or over an under bandage?

I use them on their own. Usually as a back wrap - I use open fronts on the front.

However, on my previous horse I used them on their own on the front.
