I have a TB mare who lost her left eye due to uveitis and she has a cataract in the right eye. My ophthalmologist is not overly concerned about it as it has not changed in 4 years. We did discuss removing the cataract but we are not at that stage yet. My question is: Has anyone recently done cataract surgery on their horse? What was the outcome? Cost? Any insight would be great as I am considering having it removed in the near future.
