Hello, I have a horse that suffers form summer sores on mouth and sheath. I can control fly access via fly mask with nose nets but sheath has been a problem. Found this https://share.icloud.com/photos/0e25By9BHvufKnicwYeiayhVQ on line. My concern is will the gelding urinate with that barrier. Any thoughts. Thanks.
I would say it would differ from horse to horse. Some really do not like splash. Some wouldn’t care.

There was a horse at our barn that wore something similar in the summer. I never asked specifically about peeing, but I believe it did help manage the situation

My horse used to wear something similar. He would pee through the mesh and didn’t seem to mind. I just had to hose it off regularly. It was the only thing that helped with his summer sores there.
