Equipment shed design- door placement

UPDATE: So we ended up with just one big overhead door on one endwall, rather than sliders on each end. Decided that the length of the tractor/FEL when it’s attached to either the backhoe or bushhog really dictates that storage in the building be arranged parallel with the long walls. The attachments sweep too wide when you’re turning–would require a ton more empty space to accommodate the wide turns you’d need.
This building will be big enough to store the Big Stuff inside (Tractor, backhoe, bushhog, and the ATV and its trailcutter mower). The carts, spreader, box blade, etc will get backed into the lean-to.
Once we build this thing, that will free up a 25x30 space in the shop/garage, so the utility flatbed trailer can go there. It’s a space-hog, so right now it’s in exile way up on the hill in another building. And there’d be room for the ATV+trailcutter in the shop too, if we decide the new building feels too tight once we start using it.

Budget, for the benefit of any other COTHers planning a similar project: for the whole project – demo of the existing bldg, site prep, and construction-- we’re looking at $31k.

<SQUEEEEEE!!> So excited. Won’t start work til the spring but in the meantime it’s fun to think about.
Thanks for all the input, it’s been helpful.

I hear ya-- having just gotten a foot of snow, the pain is real. Our winter storms come in from the north or west, so we’re siting the main entrance on the east wall and the lean-to on the south. And in general, this building site is well shielded from winter wind because there’s 17ac of dense timber on its north side. This buildilng has never gotten drifted in. (That’s a nice advantage of building on the same site as the old shed–we already know the wind/weather/drainage there).
