Did anyone see the equitrek trailers at Land Rover 3 day event. They’re made in England and are meant to be pulled by smaller suv. Upon googling, I’ve found some bad reviews but nothing RECENT. Does anyone have any experience with the new equitrek trailers? They’re really handy trailers and decently priced!
I believe Xanthoria has one?
On the website it said the body was fiberglass, which would concern me. The polycarbonate used on the Brenderups (and the space shuttle) is much, much stronger.
Maybe I didn’t read the specs right. The Brenderups have fiberglass for the roof and the walls are polycarbonate. Maybe the Equitrek is the same.
I think if you primarily haul just one horse, then they’re brilliantly configured and priced. But for 2 horses to a show or overnight trip, I don’t know where you would put everything as there seems to be very little storage.
I don’t know anything about this trailer brand, but I cringe when I see something like this. Big trailer hooked to a small SUV.

Euro trailers are generally designed for towing by more modest tow vehicles because “big-butt pick-em-up-trucks” are an unusual exception in that geography for a variety of reasons. They typically have a low center of gravity, a balance point that keeps tongue weight to a minimum (150-250 lbs) while still providing stability and have inertial/surge brakes which are required in Europe for such trailers since they are self-contained. Equi-Trek is just one brand. Böckmann is another that’s available in the US, particularly on the east coast. While the materials and designs are different, they are a worthy option. Sadly, they are also expensive because of the limited market “here” due to culture and other reasons.
And for the folks uncomfortable with more modest tow vehicles, keep in mind that these Euro trailers are designed for the purpose.
talking about geography … Traveling from the eastern border of France to its western border, for instance, is at most a 590-mile journey, which is about 200 miles shorter than the distance across Texas.
Yep I have on. Posted in the eventing forum about it recently.
