"Eric" 1989 chestnut TB gelding, 4 whites and a star, in WA or BC?

Hello–

I stupidly gave my old gelding away a couple of years ago and i wish i could have him back to give him a proper retirement!
1989 TB gelding, JC name “Flim Flam Tax Man.” His barn name was “Eric.” He is a chestnut with 4 white stockings and a PERFECT forehead star and a white lower lip (but you have to look for the lip). He has a scar on the side of his left knee, a permanent hoof crack on his left front foot, and a tendency to pull back when tied.
His tattoo is 8926998.
I gave him to a girl who gave him to a girl who gave him to a couple. I think he is in or near Lynden, Wa so may also be in BC.
I don’t know anything about the people who have him except that they are “very private people.” So if anyone knows anything, or even has seen him in a field and can let me know he’s still alive, i would GREATLY appreciate it. I would take him back in a heartbeat, as well, if that were ever an option.
PM me if you know anything or think you know anything. I can send recent pics too.
Thanks a bunch!

Never mind

I recently found out that he is deceased. It was a peaceful passing.
Thank you to everyone who viewed this message!

Update:

The woman who ended up with Eric lied to me about his death. I don’t know why she felt the need to, but that’s what happened.

He ended up at Whatcom Humane Society in Bellingham, WA as a seizure case after he was abandoned at a boarding stable. The humane society called him “Floyd.” I was delighted to hear that he was still alive and contacted them about adopting him, but was rebuffed by the Humane Society’s executive director with this direct quote: “You already dumped him once, so why should we trust you not to do it again?” Which, it turns out, is Whatcom Humane’s MO. Even though I now own 10 acres of flat pastureland with galvanized rail fence, and would welcome a retiree, I’m not the only one who doesn’t meet their high standards. Read the Google reviews if you don’t believe me:

Anyways. If people could keep an eye out for if/when he gets dumped on Craigslist, i would really appreciate it. I would still love to bring him home. His name will likely be Floyd or something similar, registered name Flim Flam Tax Man. He is 26 years old, huge chestnut, and swaybacked at this point in his life. He is a big beautiful horse but he has behavioral issues–he is girthy and he does NOT TIE–so he may end up hurting someone.

Thanks in advance! Here is a recent photo from when Whatcom Humane was trying to dump him for $300 on Facebook because that is more “responsible” than sending him home to me.

Thank you to everyone who has PM’ed me about Eric! I failed to mention in my previous post that I believe the Humane Society has adopted him out to someone else. That’s why i think he will end up being resold or rehomed again at some future date.

Whatcom Humane does not just rehome in Whatcom County/Bellingham, so he could end up anywhere in Washington/Oregon.

Thank you to everyone who expressed sympathy, and please join me in keeping your eyes peeled for my guy.
