Does anyone have a screenshot of the FB post? I’ve heard it was incredibly unhinged / sounded very drug fueled, but at least his “athlete” facebook page doesn’t have anything posted this year.

Yes - Millar became Chef in early 2023 when the more recent lawsuits were coming up. But there were MULTIPLE other major suits already in process back in 2022 when EC decided to name EL Chef D’Equipe . And, there was also the rumor that has been circulating for awhile that he tried to dodge a drug test back at the end of 2021 or early on in 2022, and the FEI had had enough and THAT is why he retired at that time… not because of his health. The health excuse was just a public cover story.
I would imagine EC was aware if EL dodged an FEI drug test. If they seriously gave him the Chef position after that… it’s terrible judgement on their part.

They would put them in the morning I believe in the projected order of success (I believe it was based on the previous year, other standings etc)….that particular year he was last min moved to the morning and remembering well, he was in fact in the posted order as in the afternoon LOL! Never had been before and I believe with his main horses wasnt since! Lol. It was all about what was shown on the tv…,not about crowds AT the event! I was there, yes it was full, yes most booed turned backs etc…,NO SM were not allowed to actually approve of this! Yes our news stations had reporters there ready 
Personally I hate that other riders, at that time, were “on his side”….reeks of hypocrisy! spruce tried to hold him to the EXACT same standards every competitor is supposed to be held to! Break the rules on THEIR property you are subject to a ban! Their hand was forced,it sucks and I personally never forgave him for what he did….turns out I was right!
Do statue of limitations apply here? You think he was falsifying his cancer diagnosis and treatment in hoping that the SOL will lapse and he cant be accountable?
EL has nothing new posted on either of his known and verified public pages, since last year. If he has another one, it’s kept private and known only to those who know him.
Specific classes had specific orders of go. Some big classes had their first rounds in the morning… if the order of go was changed it was to accommodate the rider(s) balancing several rides in different rings or more than one horse in the same class or something similar. Later rounds had the order of go based on performance in the previous rounds. Nothing to do with what the TV schedule was… but if that has become your LOL thing all these years later… okay.
When I was in the announcer booths with SM staff - their walkies were constantly buzzing with changes to the orders of go in the early rounds and classes. It was not unusual and not focussed on any one rider.
Not even Ron Southern could control how well a horse jumped to get to the final rounds of any class so that he could declare who should be on TV and who should not.
The article you linked to even noted that EL received applause and support/well wishes at the time… because people try to see the best in others and hope they can change. Even other riders. Shameful, I know.
I am just very sad that he chose this twisted path (no LOLs)… and IMO this will not end well.

And… he’s doing more phone interviews. This time with Horse & Hound.
The story is shifting more on his cancer. He claims it’s in remission (miraculous for glioblastoma), but also claims that he only has 2 to 3 years left to live because his body was so badly affected by chemotherapy.
Oh, and he claims that people questioning his health is making him suicidal.
Unreal.

As I just said… IMO this will not end well. I hope someone can step in and help him. That he will listen to them - and start by shutting up instead of making things worse… as if that is even possible.

Eric posted on his personal Facebook page yesterday (visible to friends only). If someone else wants to post a screenshot of, what felt like a 12 page manifesto that he wrote, so be it. Someone clearly needs to step in and offer help and support.

I think he’s continuing to try and emotionally manipulate the public in an effort to garner sympathy.

As of right now, there’s nothing dated this year on either his official page or his personal one. If he posted something new, he then removed it in short order.

Spread to his larynx. Another 1 in a million medical miracle that oncologists might want to study.
And to add to it, he’s speaking on the phone with multiple reporters (Toronto Star, Horse and Hound) after undergoing a laryngectomy.
Yet another medical miracle! People everywhere who have undergone laryngectomy for real laryngeal cancer and are now struggling to breathe, speak and swallow, and struggling with quality of life issues will be so inspired by Eric’s miraculous recovery!
