European Eventing Championships;

I’m in awe of her keeping a big horse together. She is just so there with her ride: Zen and the Art of Riding!

If you are tiny you have to employ a lot more finesse than those who can use more weight to influence their horse. The horse will also find it a benefit to have less weight on top (especially when the weight is jigging about in an effort to influence him/her). In other words she does a LOT MORE with less. She gets asterisks for brilliance.

I think many people have yet to fully grasp the level of greatness we are looking at with this combination. The largest winning margin in Badminton history, the third-largest in Europeans history, and the horse is just 11 year old (let’s not forget his spent his 10 year old year finishing 2nd at Badminton, and tied for the bronze at the World Championships). He is truly well rounded, and represents an unbelievable threat in all three phases. And they make it look darn easy while they do it. This is something very, very special.
