Event Barns/Trainers near Greensboro, NC

Hey everyone!

I have a long time student that is going away to college this fall in the Greensboro, NC area. She has evented through T level and would like to bring her horse down with her. Any suggestions on good barns where she could board and a good trainer she could ride with? The horse is currently field boarded, could be stall boarded if given plenty of turn out and if it was affordable.

Ok, so it turns out that she wants to go to High Point University, which I am told is close to Greensboro but not a great commute. Just adding that bit of info in case anyone else wants to chime in with more barn/trainer ideas.

Dani0303 - Yes! Please do PM me the student’s name. Or I could have my student call you. I know she wanted to touch base with you on her next trip down to HPU as well. She rides on her high school Hunter Eq. team and might be interested in showing in the IHSA too, just depends on schedules and such.

Does the team practice/show out of a farm close to the college? And does that barn accept boarders?

Hi Percy, I’m from Greensboro. My old trainer Cathy Schlaeppi is the IHSA coach at HPU. She is more a hunter/jumper type, but she does have a field with minimal XC jumps to just canter around. You can PM me if you’d like and I will give you her number.
