Looking for barns that are fairly local (<40 min drive) to Charlotte to check out as a potential place to board my young horse.
I moved down here 2 months ago and am still pretty unfamiliar with the outlying areas surrounding the city. Figured COTH would have good recommendations and give me a starting point!
(BONUS points if any of these barns are hiring - I’m having a heck of a time finding a job down here!)

What part of Charlotte are you in? There’s a bunch of options but knowing what side of town you’re on would help. The Ark is down in Monroe, Jennifer Holder’s barn is over in Midland (Third Charm), Davidson Equestrian Center is up on the north side with Bonnie Mosser, plus oodles of barns scattered in between.
I live in the Southend, SUPER close to Uptown.
In that case Monroe might be a little far with traffic but Jenn Holders or DEC would be good options. There’s a bunch more H/J barns but those are the two most eventing oriented I know.

The Fork is amazing, but it’s an hour and a half from the OP so I didn’t include it. However for schooling etc its perfectly close!
